ABOUT ME
|
My name, of course, is Cindy Rogers. I am originally from Hartford, CT, but am currently living in the Delaware valley area. I ve been training at Larry Sharpes monster factory for three years along with working the indy scene. I am trained in the old school tradition under some of the best trainers you could ask for. I have had the pleasure of working for WWA( now the OTW), WXW, ROH, ECWA, NWA/CSWF, NWA/NJ, CCW, PWU, NECW, AWA, IWA, SSCW, WWW, AWF, JWA and others. My first title was WXW womens champion for Afa of the Wild Samoan. I am currently the women's tag champion with Alicia as "The Big Unit". I was also the NWA/NJ women's champion and IWA Triple Threat champion. I have been a huge wrestling fan since i was little. I remember being glued to the tv on saturday and sunday mornings watching Junk Yard Dog, Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, etc... It was about the time just before Wrestlemania 1. Since I lived in CT I remember seeing the ads all the time for WWF coming to Hartford and New Haven for shows. My mom took me and my brothers to an indy show once, but i couldn't tell what one was until now - I was just a kid and i was in awe of it all. I've collected all the toys - the LJN figures, etc. My brother and me used to wrestle all the time, much to my mothers dismay. We used to tear the place up. We also used to run around the house and I would throw the figures at him. It wasn't so good for him when one of the LJN figures hit him, plus it didn't do so well for the figures paint job. I still collect wrestling figures to this day. Needless to say it takes up a lot of space. My other collection is wrestling tapes. I love to watch tapes, like most wrestlers do. My favorites to watch are Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Ted Dibiase, Ricky Steamboat, Rick Martel, Fabulous Moolah, Sgt Slaughter (who actually told me to go to the Monster Factory), JYD, Curt Henning, Chyna, Triple H, Kurt Angle... well too many to mention on this page. Starting to wrestle has been the greatest thing I've ever done. Not only am I living my childhood dream, but I'm meeting new people from that dream and having great experiences thanks to it. I've learned so much from all the people I've met from practice & shows, much more than I thought possible. Of course it's a lifetime schooling lesson that i am happy to be a student of. I thank everyone that has been on the journey so far with me, and hopefully the road doesn't end anytime soon! |
